Last year, I had the most productive year of my life. I worked out regulary, doubled the revenue of my bussiness and got my shit done on time without exceptions.

I wasn’t always like this.

Procrastination fucked me over for years. When I first got into blogging, I would procrastinate on writing all the time. I would take “breaks” that extended about 3 hours longer than they should’ve. I would scroll Facebook, close Facebook and open the bloddy thing up again.I tried everything to cure my monkey mind including chunking bigger tasks into smaller ones, waking up 5 a.m. to do the work and even give up social media completely.

I even though about hiring an assistant who would slap me when I was procrastinating. (somebody actually did that..)

A good mentor of mine told me that he was able to cure his procrastination by getting an accountability partner.

I tried it and it changed everything.

To this day, every week, I check in with my accountability partner Mark and go over what we both want to accomplish that week.

He holds me accountable. I hold him accountable. I don’t want to let him down, he doesn’t want to let me down.

Somehow this works like magic.

We all can find a million excuses to not do what you say you’re going to do. For example, there are days we I don’t want to go to gym, but I don’t want to dissapoint him.

We set weekly goals and keep in touch via email twice a week. Once to set a goal for the week, another time to check in and a final time to report on their results.
